What are your hours?

Our office hours are 9am – 5pm, Monday through Friday.

Can I drop off my paperwork?

Yes, you are more than welcome to skip the interview process and drop off the necessary paperwork. There is a mail slot in our door for drop-offs after hours.

What do I bring to my appointment?

1. Completed tax organizer
2. All original W-2s, 1099s, and 1098s
3. All K-1s from businesses and investments
4. Sale of residence/investment property (HUD settlement and other supporting documents)
5. Sale of stocks & bonds including: date of acquisition, cost basis, sale date, sales price.

How do I get a tax organizer?

CLICK HERE for the link to a blank, simplified organizer for basic guidance in preparing your documents for taxes. You can also e-mail Angela at angela@bringhurstfinancial.com or call the office to request a more personalized organizer, with your information from the prior year’s tax return.

Is there a special organizer for the airline employees?

If you are working in the airline industry please fill out Airline Personnel Deduction worksheet in addition to the regular organizer. The worksheet is available HERE

How do I set an appointment?

Call the office at  (602) 230-1995 or Email Angela at angela@bringhurstfinancial.com. Ron takes appointments on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays with the first appointment at 9am and the last at 4pm. Olga is available Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm.

How long does it take to prepare the return?

Generally, your return is ready for pickup within 3-4 days.

When do I have to pay for the tax preparation fees?

Payment for services rendered is due, in full, upon pickup. We accept cash, checks, VISA and MC debit and credit cards. Sorry, we do not accept American Express.

When am I going to get my refund?

Why haven’t I gotten my refund yet?

For issues regarding your FEDERAL return, click HERE to check IRS refund status online. You can also call IRS at   1-800-829-4477. For issues regarding your AZ STATE return please follow this link http://www.azdor.gov/ to visit the AZ Department of Revenue, or call (602) 255-3381      .

How long should I keep my personal files?

Five to Seven years

What if I can’t afford to pay the IRS?

The IRS can choose to grant an Installment Agreement to set up a payment plan for the balance due. Keep in mind that Interest and Penalties still apply. Click HERE to view the “Online Payment Agreement” feature that the IRS offers on their website.
